Today starts the big -seems underrated, giant?- adventure that we have been planning and preparing during several months. The dream was to “travel around the world”. But what did this actually mean for the both of us? What did we expect of this dream? And how could we shape this dream into a concrete realistic plan? It’s one thing to have dreams, starting to realise one of those is definitely something else…

… which became clear very soon. Starting the engine of our RV, a bright red light appeared in our dashboard. THE BRAKES! They gave up even before the start of our trip. Bad sign? Or perfect moment to “brake” down? We found out it was the latter. The brake line near the rear wheel on driver’s side had failed and we were losing a significant amount of brake fluid. Guess who joined the CAA - Canadian Anonymous (Road Side) Assistance -  that very second? They informed us though that towing was only possible after 24 hours of being a member. 24 more hours in Mississauga then! We took the time to have a drink to the start of our holidays and enjoy the evening with our dear friend Irina. Some beers later she brought us home to the AirBnB we booked near Erin Mills Centre in Mississauga.
